Ajay Tandon is a distinguished industry veteran with over 35 years of leadership experience across globally renowned organizations, including Tata Group, General Motors, General Electric, and Godrej & Boyce Pvt. Ltd. He holds a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Madras and a PGDM from IIM Ahmedabad.
He retired as the Managing Director & CEO of Tata AutoComp Systems Ltd., and was honored with the “Best CEO of the Year” award by the Indian Institute of Materials Management in 2015. During his tenure at Tata, he actively contributed to the Tata Business Excellence initiative for a decade, mentoring several group companies.
With 17 years of board-level experience, Mr. Tandon has played a key role in providing strategic direction and governance to companies in India, Sweden, and China. He currently serves on the boards of multiple Indian companies, including two listed on Indian stock exchanges and one listed on Nasdaq.
In addition to his corporate governance roles, he is a certified Executive Coach from the International Coaching Federation (ICF), with a strong track record of coaching leaders and driving transformation both in India and internationally.
