Halifax Edmonton Roof Leak

Halifax Edmonton Roof Leak

Job Location:

Halifax Edmonton

Job Type:

Roofing

Site Issue:

Water ingress coming from the lower flat roof and into the main entrance of the branch

Scope of Works:

Prefabricated Access Suppliers and Manufacturers Association (PASMA) trained engineers will erect
a mobile aluminium tower to help them safely access the specified locations to carry out the works
and inspections detailed within this estimate. The mobile tower will be set up on level, firm/solid
ground and tied into the building if required.
Our engineers will access the lower flat roof via the use of the mobile tower. They will prepare the
existing roof covering for the application of a new polyurethane reinforced liquid applied
waterproofing membrane to approximately 27m².
Our engineers will remove the remaining loose/damaged sand and cement mortar from the joints
between the coping stones on top of the parapet wall. They will then clean the joints and repoint
them using a new sand and cement mortar mix, ensuring a smooth level finish with the existing
surface, approximately 6 linear metres.
Our engineers will infill the minor cracks and damaged areas within the parapet wall using an
exterior masonry filler. Once the filler has dried, it will be rubbed down to leave a flat level surface.
Our engineers will then apply 1No. coat of Thompsons water seal to the parapet wall, approximately
Please note: If upon closer inspection it is discovered that the parapet wall requires further repairs
other than the infilling of minor cracks and damaged areas as specified within this estimate, then a
separate quote for the required repairs will be provided.
Our engineers will carefully remove the existing sealant from the lead flashing within the parapet
wall and dispose of it from the site. They will then reseal the existing lead flashing using a new
external lead silicone sealant, approximately 20 linear metres
