the glass panels on the roof are damaged and leaking into the building, site would like these removed and replaced with timber and waterproofed
Our engineers will lay protective plastic sheeting over the existing floor covering, and furniture
within the bathroom, Engineers will gain access to the flat roof area via the bathroom window which
opens fully and allows engineers to step out on to flat roof.
All 4No broken glass panels are to be carefully removed by engineers and all debris to be cleared
from site.
Our engineers will then fit 6No new timber studs to the existing timber frame which supported the
glass panels.
Once timbers have been installed and secured to timber, engineers will install 7 square meters of
new 18mm plywood to the new timber frame.
Engineers will then install new roof felt to the 7 square metres of plywood by using a bitumen
adhesive and galvanised nails.
Engineers will also install 6 lineal meters of new led flashing, to the newly installed roof felt and
existing brickwork for a watertight seal.
When work is complete, remove rubbish and leave area of works clean and tidy.
