LSBU K2 Roof Leak

LSBU K2 Roof Leak

Job Location:

LSBU

Job Type:

Roofing

Site Issue:

The flat roof above the revolving door is leaking, causing water ingress to the ceiling

Scope of Works:

Engineers will set up a safe system of work and enclose the revolving door with chapter 8 barriers to
create a safe working area.
Please note: The revolving door will be out of action for the duration of these works, staff and
students will need to use the disabled access door for access to the K2 building
PASMA-trained engineers will erect a mobile aluminium tower, to help them safely access the flat
roof above the revolving doors to carry out the following works and inspections specified within this
quote. The mobile tower will to be set up on level, firm/solid ground and tied into the building if
possible.
We will prepare the existing roof covering for the application of a new polyurethane reinforced
liquid applied waterproofing membrane to approximately 4m2
All vegetation, debris and loose materials will be cleared from the roofs surface and be disposed of,
we will then rod the surrounding outlets and downpipes to ensure water can run freely.
Please note: Any defective gutters or blocked downpipes that we are unable to clear will be quoted
for separately unless specified otherwise within this quote.
The existing roof covering will then be jet washed clean to remove all dust, loose materials, oils and
other contaminants that could affect the adhesion of the Polyurethane waterproofing membrane.
We will then apply the liquid waterproofing compound with a fibre glass reinforced matting
embedded into the liquid to the whole roof area, approximately 4m2.
When the waterproofing system has fully cured, a single coat of ultra-top will be applied to the roof
surface.
